ABOUT THE SHOW

VEHICLE DISPLAYS
Expect to see 300+ vintage, classic and modern classic vehicles on display.
There will be a variety of classic and specialist cars displayed by age (pre-60s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s onwards) and category (sports and convertibles, kit, custom and replica and American) plus club stands and displays.
Visit the motorcycle section to see various, vintage, racer and classic motorcycles including the likes the likes of BSA, Norton and Velocette.
CONCOURS
All exhibiting vehicles are automatically included in the vehicle judging and awards process which will be run as a live process over PA system and overseen by an experienced vehicle commentator and car and motorcycle judge.
Each vehicle exhibitor entering the arena for judging is eligible to receive a unique and complementary commemorative plaque.
In addition, vehicles will be judged and awards will be presented across all vehicle categories and culminating in the Pride of Ownership, Club of the Show and Car/Motorcycle of the Show awards.
The vehicle concours is located in the event arena and provides a popular central feature to the event.
There will be interviews with owners regarding their restoration projects and vehicle stories as well as providing interactive entertainment throughout the event. If you have an interesting vehicle or a story behind it, feel free to let the commentator know and he may just ask you to be interviewed!
TRADE, AUTOJUMBLE AND RETAIL
The event will feature retail, trade and autojumble stalls selling a range of hard-to-find parts, merchandise, signs, memorabilia, craft and vintage items.
FOOD AND DRINK
A wide selection of quality food and drink is available from a range of on-site catering facilities including a bar, confectionery, and ice cream vendors. In addition, there is a permanent Tea room and other catering sites located within Thorp Perrow Arboretum.
THE GROUNDS AND VISITOR INFORMATION
A visitor ticket purchased from either Classic Shows or Thorp Perrow will admit one person to both the classic car and motorcycle show and the full Thorp Perrow Arboretum and Bird of Prey facilities.
The event is located in the grounds of Thorp Perrow Arboretum, Bedale, North Yorkshire, DL8 2PS.
Thorp Perrow is the home of one of the UK’s finest collections of trees including five National Plant Collections, and is a leading centre for raptor conservation. Bird of Prey displays take place in the old walled garden at 11.30, 13.30 and 15.30.
Visitors can explore the superb Arboretum, enjoy the children’s adventure playground, watch the Bird of Prey displays, feed the wallabies in the mammal centre and indulge in some shopping in the Homes and Gardens centre.
OTHER INFORMATION – TOILETS, DOGS, CAR PARKING ETC
Portable toilets including disabled facilities will be located in the events field. Permanent toilets are also available inside Thorp Perrow Arboretum.
We are a very dog friendly organisation and dogs are allowed at the event. We kindly ask that visitors keep their dogs on leads at all times and use the on-site dustbins to dispose of any dog waste. Please note that dogs are not permitted inside the Bird of Prey Centre at any time.
Visitor parking is free.
