VEHICLE DISPLAYS
Expect to see over 1000+ vintage, classic and modern classic vehicles on display over the weekend in addition to a special Ford feature and Mini & VW display.
Expect to see a wide range of privately owned vehicles on display dating from the early 1900’s right up to the modern classic Fords, VWs and Minis.
The event is very well supported by a range of car clubs including the Notts MG Owners Club, Jenson Owners Club, Mercedes Benz Owners Club, Jaguar Enthusiasts Club, Yorkshire & Humber ST & RS Owners Club, South Yorks TVR, RS Owners Club, XR Owners Club, Junction 24 Fords, Just Another Ford, Ford RST, Mansfield Modified, Littlejohn Classic Car Club, Notts About Minis and Robin Hood Minis
CONCOURS
The vehicle concours takes place in the event arena and provides a much-loved central feature to the event.
All exhibiting vehicles will be included with the vehicle concours and judging process overseen by experienced commentator and fans favourite Les Clayton. Les has worked at Classic Shows events for over 20 years and provides a friendly and interactive commentary service to engage visitors throughout the event. Les will coordinate the concours and will be assisted by experienced judges with awards presented for a range of categories and culminating in the Club of the Show, Car of the Show and Pride of Ownership categories.
Each participating vehicle exhibitor also receives a complementary commemorative plaque.
TRADE, AUTOJUMBLE AND RETAIL
There will be retail village featuring 40-50 trade and autojumble stalls selling a range of hard-to-find parts, merchandise, memorabilia, craft and vintage items.
MODERN VEHICLE DEALERSHIPS
The event will feature a selection of modern vehicle dealership and manufacturer exhibitors. Visitors can learn more about the latest models, technology and finance products from knowledgeable staff who will be on hand to answer queries.
FOOD AND DRINK, TOILETS
A wide selection of quality food and drink is available from a range of on-site catering facilities including a bar and ice cream vendors.
In addition, there is a permanent café located within the Thoresby Courtyard. Portable toilets are located at the left hand side of the show field and permanent toilets are available within the Thoresby Courtyard.
THE GROUNDS AND VISITOR INFORMATION
The event is located in the grounds of Thoresby Park, Ollerton, Notts, NG22 9EP which provides substantial outside accommodation located adjacent to the superb Thoresby Hall. Visitors are able to explore the full grounds and parklands and also the Thoresby Courtyard which features a selection of hand picked retailers and a sit down café.
OTHER INFORMATION – DOGS, CAR PARKING ETC
We are a very dog friendly organisation and dogs are allowed at the event. We kindly ask that visitors keep their dogs on leads at all times and use the on-site dustbins to dispose of any dog waste.
Ample car parking is available and upon arrival at the venue visitors should follow the high vis road signs directing them into the correct entrance. Please do not use the Thoresby Courtyard entrance when attending the event (this will also be signposted as no entry). Upon arrival visitors will be directed into the car park by event stewards, will park their vehicles and walk into the event. Visitor parking is free for all events run by Classic Shows at Thoresby Park.
All Classic Shows events at Thoresby Park also feature children’s entertainment in the form of bouncy castle and small fairground rides.
DIRECTIONS
Thoresby Park is situated midway between the Ollerton round-a-bout and the Clumber Park/A57/A1M R-A-B on the A614 Nottingham to Doncaster road.
Within the vicinity of the event please follow the hi-vis ‘Classic Vehicle Show’ signs which will direct you into the event.
