VEHICLE DISPLAYS
Expect to see 500+ vintage, classic and modern classic vehicles on display per day., with previous club representatives including Porsche Club GB, JEC Yorkshire, JEC Doncaster, RS O/C, Project Jay Present.
In addition, there will be a variety of private vehicles displayed by age (pre-60s, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s onwards) and category (sports and convertibles, kit, custom and replica and American)
In the classic bike section, up to 50 vintage and classic motorcycles will be on display including models from the likes of BSA, Norton and Velocette.
CONCOURS
All exhibiting vehicles are automatically included in the vehicle judging and awards process which will be overseen by an experienced vehicle commentator and car and motorcycle judge. Awards will be presented across all vehicle categories and culminating in the Pride of Ownership, Club of the Show and Car of the Show awards.
The vehicle concours is located in the event arena and provides a much-loved central feature to the event. There will be interviews with owners regarding their restoration projects and vehicle stories providing interactive entertainment throughout the event. If you have an interesting vehicle or a story behind it, feel free to let our commentator know and he may just arrange for you to be interviewed!
Each vehicle exhibitor entering the arena for judging is eligible to receive a unique and complementary commemorative plaque.
TRADE, AUTOJUMBLE AND RETAIL
There will be a retail village featuring a number of trade and autojumble stalls selling a range of hard-to-find parts, merchandise, memorabilia, craft and vintage items.
There is also a full children’s adventure playground, great to keep the children entertained.
MODERN VEHICLE DEALERSHIPS
The event may feature a selection of modern vehicle dealership and manufacturer exhibitors. If any dealerships are confirmed, they will be announced ahead of the event via our email newsletter and our Facebook page. Visitors can learn more about the latest models, technology and finance products from knowledgeable staff who will be on hand to answer queries.
FOOD AND DRINK, TOILETS
A wide selection of quality food and drink is available from a range of on-site catering facilities including a bar, confectionery, and ice cream vendors.
Portable and permanent male, female and disabled toilet facilities are available.
THE GROUNDS AND VISITOR INFORMATION
Castle Howard is one of only ten ‘Treasure Houses of England’, a group of the finest houses, palaces and castles in England.
Castle Howard is a magnificent, 18th century historic house in the north of England set within 1,000 acres of breath-taking landscape just outside York.
The Yorkshire stately home boasts world-renowned works of art and stunning architecture having been designed by Sir John Vanbrugh and built with the assistance of Nicholas Hawksmoor.
The grounds include lakes, fountains, temples, and woodland as well as formal walled garden and children’s adventure playground making Castle Howard the perfect family day out, plus enjoy a changing programme of events, children’s trails and a range of cafés and shops including farm shop and garden centre.
Visitors to the Father’s Day Classic Car & Motor Show also benefit from full access to the Castle Howard grounds, gardens and parkland without extra charge (note an extra fee applies for access inside Castle Howard).
OTHER INFORMATION – DOGS, CAR PARKING ETC
We are a very dog friendly organisation and dogs are allowed at the event. We kindly ask that visitors always keep their dogs on leads and use the on-site dustbins to dispose of any dog waste.
Visitor parking is free.
