Things are shaping up nicely for the Motor Show at Harewood House that will take place on Sunday 2nd July 2017. To date we have 400+ display vehicles booked in to exhibit at this prestige event with The Stag OC booking in this week to join the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club, Italian Replica Club, MG Car Club, MGOC, TVR Car Club, XROC, RSOC and the UK Cougar Club. It will also be good to see the vehicles from the multi marque Hebden Auto’s on display and a dozen vehicles from the Cheshire Branch of the Jaguar Enthusiasts Club will be making the journey over the tops for the day. In addition to the 200 plus club cars we also have over 200 individually entered vehicles with this week’s post bringing a 1936 Austin van from Harrogate, a 1929 Dennis and a 1937 Leyland Lynx from Skipton along with the more common Ford Cortina 1600e, MGBGT, MGTF not to mention an increasingly rare 1977 Vauxhall Cavalier GLS coupe.
We now have a really good spread of vehicles on display with a dozen or so pre war cars, around twenty 1950’s classics and lots of classics from the 1960’s to the 1980’s plus quite a number of modern classics, American, kit and custom and not forgetting a smattering of commercial and military vehicles. All in all an excellent classic car show in its own right before we start to think about the modern car dealers who are booking in all the time. This week we have welcomed on board Clive Brook Volvo who have branches in Bradford and Huddersfield, Vantage Toyota who are based in Knaresborough, Wakefield and Leeds. In addition the electric luxury car company Tesla will be in attendance and if the reaction at Harewood is similar to The Festival of Transport at Blenheim Palace last year they are sure to have large crowds around them all day.
More exciting things are happening each day so we will be in touch with more news at the end of next week.
